Revit: WSCommCntr3.exe error c0000005

Hi

I'm tesing a plugin using a automated GUI tester with a hudson/jenkins slave executing as the "system" user.

Revit fails startup with a access violation error c0000005 . Any ideas on how to fix this ?

OS is Win7 x64 configured in a domain.

cheers,

gary

WSCommCntr3.exe is the InfoCenter process Revit uses; it can potentially cause Revit to hang \ fail at startup because it might have crashed or be waiting on the process.

Typically if you end the process Revit 2012 should subsequently clear the splash screen.

Hi Ryan,

Sorry it took so long to respond. You were right... In our case we wer3e launching as system user,  didn't have acess privillages to WSCommCntr3.exe.

We solved the problem lauching revit via a widows task with a known user that can access WSCommCntr3.exe.

cheers,

gary
