Revit UI recommendation (not by Vector2)

The Project Browser could be better organized than it currently is. For large projects, the list of items in there is very long even with Views and Sheets divided into several groups/categories. I think the Project Browser should include Tabs: Views, Sheets, Families, etc. so that when I click on Sheet Tab I only see Sheets without having to scroll through a long list of other stuff, for example.

Some other products such as AutoCAD (Sheet Set Manager), AutoCAD Architecture (Project Navigator), etc. already have this for years.

Good recommendation. I agree. That list could be better organized by tabs. It gets too long, since it has everything in it in one single window. Edited by: Discussion_Admin on Dec 10, 2009 11:23 AM

nice post Squid..

rethinking the project browser never crossed my
mind- but what a golden opportunity there probably
is for the factory to test every infinite possible
system idea for the project browser and end up with
something that becomes a revit legend..

many people have said they expect revit 2011 to
be the best revit version of all time.. this is REALLY
going to be exciting..

actually i totally agree with the
discussion administrators about
taking down threads on rare occasions
when they turn out ridiculously
embarrassing to the world- or serious
disrespect of course..

that last thread that came down was
my fault because i started it off
in the wrong way and it got real
messy.. then i was pointing out
how it doesn't look good in a
search where things have been
blocked by autodesk.. but i
have to take responsibility
for it happening this time
and make sure it don't
happen again..

#2- see the attached screenshot
#3- the ability to right click on the Sheet browser window to Collapse All and Expand All.

@ #2
It depends how you have your project browser set up. We group by discipline.
See attached.

You are correct. I checked and the Sheets are grouped by Sheet Folder then by Sheet Number. I removed grouping by Sheet Number and that got rid of the extra line. Thanks.
