As an team member of Revit Server Admin, I have noticed some files that are under the file structure and they have 0 byte size. These are obviously corrupted or files that are invalid and cannot be opened. How do I delete those? When I select the file and refresh, the tools get greyed out, My only thought is copying the valid file/files and save them elsewhere on my hard drive and then selecting the folder within the Revit Server Admin 2013 to where those files reside and delete the folder, remake the folder and then recreate my central file on the Revit Server? See attachments for the invalid files and the valid file. Is there a simpler way of managing these files?
I would check if there are some orphaned locks on the project(s) first. The following help topic has information on this:
If there are no orphaned locks, you may need to modify the project outside of Revit Server Administrator, as you suggested.
Normally making changes to the project outside of Revit Server Administrator is not recommended!
In this case, you should be able to lock the server (through Revit Server Administrator), move the problematic project folders to another location, and then unlock the server. This should clear them from Revit Server Administrator, and you can then resave to Revit Server from one of the local copies (using the Detach from Central checkbox on the file open dialog).
