Revit Server 2014 Error

We have an issue with Revit Server 2014. We can’t save any new file from a user workstation  to Revit Server 2014 and unable to save as any project file to Revit Server and come across a runtime error. " This operation could not be completed. Please try again.(If the problem persist, sava any changes to the models from the Revit Server locally and contact your systems administrator").See the attached snap .

How do we resolve this issue?

Thanks,

Jasim Ali

Is this a new install and the RS2014 never worked? or it worked in the past and now is having issues?

If new then you may want to check all the pre-requites and make sure all the services are running.

Also make sure that the folder for project is accessible

can you open the admin page and create folders?

The following video has information on troubleshooting Revit Server (network and installation issues):
Video: Troubleshooting Revit Server

The "This operation could not be completed," message doesn't really give much insight into what went wrong.

The following article has information on getting the journals and server logs, as these will have much more information on what may have gone wrong:
Revit Server Error: "This operation could not be completed. Please try again."

Note: Errors found in these files (for Revit Server) are generated by IIS, and you may be able to find information on troubleshooting IIS issues by using appropriate keywords from the error in an online search.

Are you able to view the Revit Server Administrator (RSA2014)? Likewise, are you able to lock a model from RSA2014? This is the easiest way to identify critical Revit Server issues.

Did your IT change folder permissions or IIS security? This will break Revit Server.

Otherwise, the last resort is to repair, or uninstall/re-install Revit Server.

btw. what operating system are you running on the Server? Windows Server 2008, 2012, W2008-R2, etc.
