I have a few general questions for you about the behavior and your setup:

  1. Is this a model that already exists on Revit Server or are you attempting to save the project to the server for the first time?
  2. Is this your first project on Revit Server or has this previously worked as expected?
  3. Is this behavior occurring with all users?
  4. Are you accessing the central server directly or a local server?
  5. What OS is the server running?
  6. What updates have been applied to both Revit and Revit Server?

hi,

answering your questions:

1- save for the first project.

2- first project created on the server

3-yes

4-on central server directly

5- 2008 R2

6- update 1 for revit server.

Ahmad

Hi Ahmad,

On the server, go to Admin Tools > IIS Manager > Server name > Sites > Service Name > Content View. Can you right-click on an .SVC file [for example AdminService.svc] and Browse? Can you post scrrenshots of your results?

Are you able to successfully connect to the Revit Server Admin console?

Are you able to manually browse to the server from the workstation?

Can the workstation ping the server by IP and DNS, and vice versa?
