REVIT SAP2000 workflow

Hello,

I m new in this forums. We re an architecture firm that s been using revit for almost a year. Recently we envisioned a possible workflow with our structure engineer who work with sap2000. We d like to send them our revit model (through IFC or CSIxREVIT format, exr). CSIxREVIT works if you design the structure in your architecture model, moreover it doesn t export the architecture such as walls, etc, which usually engineers receive in the dwg files. For more complex structures or buildings it also doesn t export anything good.

Also sap2000 seems not to handle very well IFC or complex geometries are not imported in IFC.

Does anyone has any experience to share on how to improve or devellop a possible workflow between sap2000 and REVIT?

Hi

I am working with Revit Str and I want to import or export to SAP. But my Revit does not have that option.

How can I add this capability to my Revit?

To workflows between Revit and Sap2000 you need to download a plugin from https://wiki. csiamerica. com/display/sap2000/Import+Revit+into+SAP2000.
