Hi We have a project consisting of 5 zones on average 5-6 storeys in height so our Master model consists of structure and envelope models for each zone (so 10N° in total) and we have about 18 departments which are split geographically across the building, so we have a file for each department.
We need to export the models to Navisworks as a client pre-requisite but need a relatively efficient and clear workflow.
We don't seem to be able to export the file in 1 go either for the whole building or even by Zone (5 separate models).
Has anyone else had this issue, most of the posts seem to relate to problems within a single file environment.
We have used Navisworks with Microstation/Bentley Architecture and the workflow is quite straight forward, and it is possible to set up a chain of *.nwc and *.nwf files from which we can dynamically export live and up to date *.nwd files. I could be wrong, but the Revit -> Navis workflow seems to be completely manual and piecemeal requiring refreshing the *.nwc files manually every time before exporting a *.nwf which links them in to a *.nwd file for issue.
Any help would be much appreciated as it is quite a concern now that so far down the line we are finding such a BIG issue.!
Thanks in advance

Are these linked files? This isn't supported in 2011. We will support this for our next release which is due in the next few weeks. You would need to have the files saved in 2012 Revit and a Navisworks 2012 exporter installed but this should then work.
If this is one single file are you in a 3D mode displaying the whole model? Have you modified the settings in the Navisworks Exporter from Revit to 'Export' > 'Entire Project'?
