Revit API; Areas and Rooms

I need to find and extract all nodes of every room and space together with all properties included with these items.

This i to be able to recreate both the data externally, but most imporantly the actual graphic representation of these elements in an external application (like in MapGuide i.e.).

Is this possible with the current release of the API?
If not, when?
If so - where should I look for the syntax?

Best regards

Really don't even need an API to do this. If you are looking to connect to
Map Guide, you can probably use exported DWG's. The exported object contain
the Revit information attached as xdata... Room boundaries are exportable
although not visible in Revit.

Nope - I do NOT wish to export to dwg.
I really need to get those vertexes coordinates and data.
MapGuide was only an example.
We really need to at least at this point extract all vertexes, subtractive boundaries (like room separators) adn data. We also need to be able to manipulate existing areas/rooms from an outside app using .net

So - question remains: Can I find nodes/vertexes of all rooms and spaces using the API? Coordinates for those geometries that is.

You can probably do it but you're in for a good deal of complexity. You
don't manipulate rooms in Revit - you manipulate walls and room separation
lines. So it won't be a matter of adjusting one room boundary but finding a
room, finding walls that make up that room and adjusting those. You'll get
much better feedback from ADN.
