Revit A 2012 Quick shifting between 2D and 3D view

Hi!

I'm new to Revit and have a question about quickshifting between 2D og 3D view. I have managed to assign a hotkey for 3D view, but I can't figure out how to assign a hotkey for returning to the view I was in before the 3D view. I know that you can double click the level you want to go to, but I want to use the mouse as little as possible.

Anyone have a solution to my problem?

There is not a way to directly go back to a previous open window.  You could use the WC (windows cascade) or WT (windows tile) to show all open windows and then select the plan window and maximize.  Not sure if this is really any faster than selecting the plan level from the project browser.

You can also navigate through views by double clicking on the callout or level heads (shown in blue) in the canvas.  Clicking the reference will automatically open the view being referenceed.

Shift-tab also cycles through open Revit views.  If you only have a plan view and a 3D view open, then shift-tab will quickly take you from one view to the next.  If you have multiple views open, then assigning a keyboard shortcut such as XX to Close-hidden-windows will help control how many views you have open.

Should be Ctrl+Tab to switch between open views, or Ctrl-Shift-Tab to step backwards through views.

Thanks alot for the answers. Not exactly what I wanted, but close enough! Guess I just have to get used to not having my F2/F3 hotkeys in this program.
