Revit 9!! on um.. dvd...

I'm so happy to report that I got the latest in BIM software today. My problem is that it's on a DVD. I think. My computer has a DVD-ROM drive, but when I insert the disk, the AutoPlay doesn't find anything, and when I use explorer, there appear to be NO files on the disk. Is there a trick I can use to read the disk or must I ask for CD's? Is there a region I must be assigned to? Any suggestions here would be awesome.

My drive is a DVD-ROM CD-RW drive. I have attempted to download more recent drivers, and the computer reported that I am already up to date.

Has anyone else run into this? Is there a fix other than getting the program on a different disk? Anyone who may have run into this and fixed it... please share :D.

can you right-click on the drive letter for the DVD drive, and hit "play"?

When I right click on the DVD letter I get the options to:

Open
Explore
Search...
Autoplay

I've tried them all, and none of the options cause the DVD to launch. I even tried the "Search..." option using *.* as the search term, but it all just comes up blank.

I'm thinking that I'll have to wait some more.

If you can't upgrade your cd / rom drivers then your only short term
solution is to do the web download. A longer term solution is to order a
free copy of the software on CD. The DVD should have come with two blue
post cards that say "send help". They direct you to Autodesk media
support web pages where you can order a free copy (or copies if you have
multiple licenses) of the software on CD and a free copy of the printed
manual. Just ordered mine yesterday because of the same problem that you
are having.
