Our office recently upgraded everyone's OS from Windows 7 via Fusion, to Windows 8.1 via Parallels.
Before the upgrade, Revit 2014 would run O.K. with Windows 7; we occasionally experienced problems with central model becoming corrupt, among other things. Now, however, since the upgrade to Windows 8.1, Revit hangs every few minutes for about 60-240 seconds at a time accompanied by either a white or black screen, and also does not allow worksharing from the central model.
Our only fix, is for one person to work at any given time, detach from central, save as a new central to desktop and at the end of the day that person overwrites the central file on the server. This way, only one person can work at a time, which defeats the purpose of worksharing in Revit...
Any light on what may be the culprit is greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
