Revit 2013 Rendering Issue: blue and yellow pixels

I downloaded Revit 2013 and this is the first project I started working on. I rendered a few cameras and they turned out ok, but all of a sudden the rendered images turned out blue and yellow. I didn't make any changes in the materials or lighting, but they still turn out the same. I even tried rendering in another computer but nothing changed. I attached the image so you can see for yourselves. HELP ME!!!

Gee! Only a talented artist could create an effect like that.

 

But let's start by looking at what you got going on with this

dialog.

It's exactly like that. I didn't change anything. The thing is, the dots look different depending on where the sun is set. If I change the sun position to Top Right, a lot more dots appear than if I put it on Top Left. Besides, if it is set on Draft, there are less dots than if I set it on High. I tried placing other cameras in different positions but there's no use.

 

It's tricky because I rendered another project I modeled using Revit 2012, but opened in R2013 and it came out perfect. I think it has something to do with the material reflectivity but I'm not sure which properties to change.

Click "Adjust Exposure" and then click "Reset to default" at the top.

Change from "Draft" to "Medium" so we can at least see something

if there is going to be something. Try that and let me know what you get.

I tried several light settings on the same camera, here's the result. In the name of the file is written the time of day I took it and the quality of the picture.

 

low, 7am

low, 8am

medium, 4pm

medium, 5pm

draft, 6pm

Okay let's start from scratch. Create another camera view of the 

model. Hit the Render button without touching ANYTHING.

 

It will look something like this. Don't forget, touch NOTHING.

Does this go away if you increase the render settings to Medium or High?

 

Sometimes in Draft mode you will see things such as this.

 

Also, check and see if any of your Materials have a very shiny or glossy finish--this can also cause it.

The renderings above are set to medium quality and it's pretty much the same, only the dots are smaller.

 

I tried changing the reflectivity of the glass and turning off the water in the view. It makes it a little better but it doesn´t go away entirely.

 

Which settings should I use for the materials in order for it to disappear?

Some materials have a very shiny or glossy property--such as steel with a polished finish, or a highly reflective glass.

 

Try building a quick "test" project, and use only some very simple, "matte" finish materials, and then do a rendering at the same settings as your project with the yellow/blue pixels.

 

The test project should render correctly. If it has the yellow/blue problem, it could be something with your display driver/video card/hardwar, etc.

 

Then look at your main project and try to identify the materials which may be causing the problem. Water, Glass, Metals come to mind.

I changed the finish of the materials I used from Glossy to Matte and did a test draft rendering and it came out ok. I'm currently rendering at high quality but I think that was it!
