Revit 2012 Layer Modifiers

1) Can we add additional modifiers like existing {custom1}, 2, 3, ....say {Custom4}, {Custom5}..so on ?

2) Can we add a specific shared parameter/ project parameter as a modifier.?

Where exactly are you trying to do this?

The only 'Layers' I know of in Revit is in the walls floors, roofs and such...

What are you ultimately trying to accomplish?

Revit 2012, has the option to add Layer modifiers while exporting to DWG or DGN, but I was wondering if we can add a shared parameter as a modifier.

Any ways got to know that its not possible at least in the current or the next release

I was trying to add in the material in the layer name while exporting the files to DWG or DGN format.

Also I believe the concept of providing Custom1,2,3 options in the modifiers dont go well as we can directly change the layer name add or remove prefix directly instead of using the custom1,2,3.
