You have to first load a family into your project before it is useable. Once
loaded it can be inserted into your model from the component drop down list
which will be at the top of the properties palette one Place Component has
been invoked. You can also copy and paste a component from one Revit file
to a new one. If the component that you need is not the library then you can
search various resources like Autodesk Seek and RevitCity to name a few
however you will have to download the file to your computer and load the
family before it can be used. I do not believe I-Drop works with Revit or at
least it has never worked for me. Hope this helps
