Resizing the Viewports

I'm trying to add four views on a A3 sheet, one of the views had to be resized a little but its vewport remain same. Is it possible to resize vewports as well? I know I use to be able to create and add many viewports in ADT, can I add more than one in a single command in Revit?

When you place a view on a sheet, Revit will assume a default 'viewport' (to use ACAD/ADT terms) border to that view. If you instead open/activate that view, go to view properties and select for it to have a view crop region, then you'll have a user-created border around that view that you can drag around (kinda like an xclip). Then you can select for said border to not be visible in the same view properties, and it won't show up, but continue to properly crop the view. To apply this change to multiple views, create a view template with the desired settings, and then apply that to the views you want to follow those settings. I think you can do this to more than one view at a time to 'batch process' them all to the same settings, but I might be mistaken about that. -- Jeffrey McGrew Application Specialist BSD AEC Technologies, a division of ID8 Media Inc. Viewports - ick. Crop Regions Rule. ;-) Unfortunately, crop regions are not saved as part of a View Template. View Templates only store information not specific to model geometry. A crop region needs to know what and where to crop. However you can turn on crop regions for multiple views at the same time once the views are on the sheet. Just select all the views on the sheet and open the Properties dialog. Toggle the Crop Region option so it is a black check and you are done. Each crop region can then be individually sized to meet the needs of each particular view. Thought that might be the case, just couldn't remember off the top of my head if it was. > However you can turn on crop regions for multiple views at the same time > once the views are on the sheet. Or, if you simply go to the sheet, and then go to the view properties of that sheet, if all views on that sheet are the same scale you'll be able to change them all at the same time here. -- Jeffrey McGrew Application Specialist BSD AEC Technologies, a division of ID8 Media Inc.
