Purge Unused

I am setting up a template my office and I would like to purge the unused objects and families, but at the same time keep what I know will be used in the future. Is there a way to do a manual purge, so I can select the items and families that I want to keep? I have spent a couple days setting up all the changes and modifying everything to become our standard template. After all this work, there is a lot of unused items in my template file. I don't want to lose everything I've worked on, but I dont need a lot of door families, or windows or wall types etc. Please inform me if there is a way I can accomplish this.

Thank you.

You can Purge selectively, by using "check none" in the Purge dialog box. This unchecks all items. You can then go back

and check only items you need to purge.

In Project Browser >Familes >Walls (or Windows, Doors)...you can delete here one by one
