Between plans, wall sections, details, sheets, etc. I have over a hundred views in my project browser. It is difficult to know what is in each view without opening each one. Is there a setting to hover over or click once on the view and see a thumbnail or have it display without actually opening it on the screen?
Short answer: no.
Long answer: try and use descriptive names in your view titles and add parameters to your view types so that you can better organize your project browser. Remember, you can always change the Title on Sheet parameter for a view so that all your wall sections read "Wall Section" if you want, but in the project browser they should have more description names, like "North Wall - typical."
I recommend customizing the browser organization (View Tab, User Interface --> Browser Organization. You can create your own project parameters for views, or you can organize them by any of the default view parameters. A common browser organization is: Discipline; Family and Type; then create a text parameter for views called "View Type" and on each view you can type in the category that you choose (i.e. "Interior Plan Details or "3D Sections").
New in 2013, you can search in the project browser - this is very helpful, it's basically like a "find" where it opens a box that you can type keywords into, and it will search throughout all of your views in the broswer.
creating custom properties paramters to organize project browser could help you in this case as suggested by Cmorrison2.
We have been dealing with large scale projects with this technique.
And it you use descriptive names, then searching in the project browser could help in finding it quickly.
