Problems printing in Revit Architecture 2013

I'm using Revit 2013.  When I go to print my elevations, some of the faces do not print.  They don't show up in the print preview either.  I tried printing to PDF as well as directly to a printer and the problem occurs with both.  It is almost as if there is a mask blocking part of the view, but there is not a mask and the location of the missing information is random.  When the view is printed in hidden line visual style, it works correctly.  When it is changed to shaded, consistent colors or realistic, the mystery mask returns.

It has been suggested that it is a video card problem, however we are not having the same problems with a much larger and more complex file.  Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

I would agree that this appears to be related to the graphics system.

I would suggest verifying that you have the latest driver version available. Looking on NVIDIA's website, the latest driver I see for the GeForce GT 620 is version 331.82 (Release Date: 2013.11.19).

If the latest driver doesn't clear the issue, try isolating the cause by going through the following steps:

  1. Create and work with a copy of the project (so you aren't modifying the production file).
  2. Remove elements from the view until the issue is cleared.

        a.     If the issue occurs with a single element, modify the material and other settings to see if you can find one causing the issue.

        b.     If the issue is limited to a group of elements, look for commonalities between the elements.

I have seen the print process use OpenGL to render the view for printing. Since hardware acceleration uses DirectX, I would suggest turning off hardware acceleration (in the Revit Options), so that the onscreen display will use the same rendering process that the print is using.
