Problem uploading families from internet with revit 2012

Hello,

I am having a issue with the student version of revit 2012.  I am able to upload the families, however everytime I choose one to upload Revit opens up as a new project.  I then have to close the project I am working on and reopen it with the one the internet has opened and then switch windows to upload the family into the project.

I dont know if this makes sense.  When I had Revit 2011, they would just automatically upload to the project I was working in. 

Does anyone have any advice?  I would appreciate any help, this is very frusterating.

Don't click on the family file itself, just make a note

of its location and when you are in a Revit project

and you want that family in it, hit Insert Tab>Load

Family. Then you can find it in the project browser

or it will be in the type selector with the tool for the

category of that family. Infact, when you activate

the tool for that category, the last family you loaded

for that will be immediately ready to go.

Think like Revit, Revit is very smart.
