We are experiencing an issue where items that are part of the model are appearing as low quality, jagged lines. Text, dimensions, tags etc are not affected. We have tried adjusting Visibility settings/overrides; View Range and so forth to no avail. The problem is the same whether we are creating a PDF [via either Acrobat Pro or Bluebeam] or sending directly to a laser printer or ink jet plotter. We are using raster printing -- no choice in that, as a pop-up informs:
Revit will use raster printing because this view uses shading, shadows, point clouds or gradients. To use vector printing, use the View Control Bar at the bottom left of the view window to turn off these options.
The last suggestion could be useful? But it seems to not be available in the affected views. Would really like to solve this. Have spent a great deal of time on these plans and find it extremely frustrating to not be able to get quality, readable output! Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Do these views require the use of "shading, shadows, point clouds or gradients"? If not, turning these items off would allow vector printing. If the controls on the View Control Bar are grayed out, check to see if a View Template has been applied to the View. Odds are that one has, and that the View Template has shading or shadows enabled. If not, does the view include point clouds or gradients?
