Printing Automatically Splits - Help!

Okay. This has happened several times. I printed a floor plan view, and the printer printed two seperate sheets. One sheet displayed the walls only, and the other sheet printed the dimensions only. Why does this happen, and how can I avoid having it happen in the future?

If i go back and re-print the same page without changing any settings, it will print correctly. This may be the only solution.

Really?! What kind of printer? You have the latest firmware/drivers
installed? Is it happening with other projects or just this one? Is it
only happening with Revit or other programs?

We just bought a HP DesignJet 4500 and we were having all kinds of problems,
but not like this, and I installed the latest firmware that just came out
and it fixed everything, supposedly...we'll see.

I print ledger sized check sets on an older HP LaserJet 5siNX. This has happened on several different projects, and it's sort of a "hit and miss" kind of thing. It doesn't happen all the time, it waits until crunch time to act up. The only thing I can think to do is re-print the page that didn't print correctly.
Most of the time, there are no problems, and I get professional looking, clean prints, but every now and then a page will seperate itself and print walls on one page and all of the text and dimensions on another.

The printer doesn't malfuntion with any other software which is why I'm thinking it may be just a Revit thing. It seems to me that separating the two prints might be a desirable thing in some cases, but I'd rather it not do it on its own.

We print all sizes from 8 1/2x11 all the way to 30x42 on several different
plotters/printers from Xerox, HP and Dell, and I've never seen this before.
It probably has something to do with you using an older printer and a newer
software. However, I've read some posts on Augi about people having trouble
with some HP's. You might want to check and see if there are any new
drivers or even read up on the printer at HP, assuming that you haven't done
any of that. Might be time to invest into a new printer.
