So I've had this issue for about a month now, Revit crashes when I attempt to create a PDF of a certain floor, and only that floor. No issues creating PDF's for any other floor, view, section, anything. I even went as far as making a copy of the file and on the copy deleting everything else that exist except what I wanted to export...and it still crashes.
Any idea what can be going wrong?
Let’s start with the easy quick checks;
Now the more time consuming stuff;
9 times out of 10, this is due to an irregular crop region around one or more of the views on that sheet, especially if the crop region has been modified to include curves. Try resetting the crop region of all views to simple rectangles, and try printing to PDF again.
If you really need to have a portion of the view not display, you can always use the masking-region-island technique. Draw a masking region that covers the entire view, but make its border with invisible lines, then, while still in sketch mode, draw the outline that you want to use to represent the boundaries of the view. This will essentially cut a hole in the masking region. Just make sure the boundary of the hole is set to a non-invisible linetype.
