Polar, Railroad

I am trying to creat a simple 2D railroad with the correct spacing etc. for ties and rails. I can make one straight of course no problem. What is the best way to make a curved railroad? I can make curved lines representing rails but I dont know how to keep the r.r. ties following the rails and spaced as needed. What is the best way to make a railroad with curves in it?

THANK YOU

Matthew

Maybe a small trick  will use: what about a stair?

  1. Architecture > Stair > Stair by Component >choose a non monolthic stair ( with stringers- stringers=rails)
  2. Duplicate and make a new type :Properties>Edit Type > Type Properties >Calcuilation Rules >Maximum Riser Height = a very small value ( I used 1mm) - Minimum Tread Depth = the distance between ties
  3. Draw segments of stair one by one taking care to be tangent one to another and continuos...
  4. Erase the railings..
