.pcg doesn't align to the reel coordinate in the project...

After converting a .ptx in a .pcg file in revit, then i reload the pcg. When ''origin to origin'', i can't see the cloud in any view but 3D is ok. center to center show me the cloud in all view but is -5300m under level 0. I realy need those point to respect the reel coordianate. I've downloaded the service pack 2 but it made no diffrence.

Revit has 4 elevations marks places by default in a template file. if you geometry falls out of these four symbols, it won't be visible in any of these elevations but you can still see it in 3d. Plans views has setting of Cut Plane and can see the elements on relative floor only (not at -5300 m). So you cant see the imported geometry in any plans, ceiling plans, elevations etc.

Insertion point depends on the co-ordinate system and units of ptx file.

Thanks for your help,

the problem is, i want that scan that have been geo-located to fit into the same co-ordinate system in revit. So it can't be -5300 under . The orientation is good but the level is way above the reel thing.

hope you understand my poor english....

When using the Origin to Origin option, the point cloud is inserted in relation to the Project Base Point (instead of the Project Survey Point which is used for shared coordinates).

In the 2013 software, you can use the "Auto - By Shared Coordinates" option to place the point cloud in relation to the Project Survey Point.

In the 2012 software, try moving the point cloud (in a 3D view) using the Project Base Point as the beginning point for the move, and the Project Survey Point for the end (you may need to adjust the Visibility/Graphic Overrides for the view to see the Project Base Point and Project Survey Point).
