panel radius parameter

Good day (or whatever ))

Anyone knows how to create a curtain panel family which is not planar but
concentric + parametric? I mean i can create a panel which i can give any
radius i want but, for each radius I create a separate family instead of
(possibly) creatin types of just one family. The only parameter which is
changed from family to family is radius// pls see a pic attached.

Any idea of how i get that radius into a type parameter is highly
appreciated))

In your family click on the radius dimension and you'll see on your options
bar an option of adding a parameter. Select it and give it a name. Then go
into your Family Types and you should see it.

Thanks for the reply

Unfortunately, this is not the solution, as the panel detaches from the
curtain grid if you change radius this way, and this happens because center
of the radius is always fixed where i need ends of an arc of 2D path to stay
fixed (glued to the curtain grid) how do i do that? that's the question..

You need to attach the ends of the radius to reference planes so they flex,
so far you've only told the arc to move. You'll might need a parameter tied
to them along with the radius. You can also turn of the center line of the
arc (look in properties of the arc) and then do an eq eq dimension to it
from the reference planes of the ends of the arc. Good luck. If you post
the family, I'll take a look at it later today.

I don't do many curtain grids in my job, but are they truly arcs? Aren't
they segmented straight lines that look like an arc?
