Opening Variations

Ladies and Gentlemen,
I am trying to create a window - that part is easy enough - however, I would like some info on the "OPENING" part of it.

I can create the opening no problem - however it punches all the way through the wall straight back from the opening lines i draw, this does not really help me, as i have a brick exterior, then brick mould (so the wall actually continues farther inward than where the opening has cut, then my window finish does some weird stuff inside too.

What i would like to do is create an opening for the brick, then another one for the actual wall itself, or at least create some sort of profile for the opening in the plan view so i do not have to model pieces of my wall in with my window.

Thanks,

B

Delete the opening. Use voids to cut the wall. You can use one or the other,
but not bot.

When I do that, the void does not cut my wall (in the family editor)

I do not know what i am doing wrong.
