OOTB Pen Settings

Hi Everyone,

I'm looking to start using Revit on a small project. I'd like to use as much OOTB as possible, but had a question regarding the way Revit exports to AutoCAD. Our company has a ton of custom pen tables and layers. Has anyone decided to use all of Revit's export to DWG features OOTB, and how did it work out for you?

Thanks,
Jim

yes. works great for building geometry! We export for consultant
backgrounds, internal coordination with ADT/CAD processes, and 3d models to
be linked to MAX.

Depends on what you are going to do...
Pass the DWG to a consultant? They won't use your pen settings anyway, so
the OOTB works fine for backgrounds.
Incorporate with your existing DWG's? Then you probably want to customize as
I've found the culture shock of changing pen settings too much fro most
firms. (...of course at this point you should be plotting bylayer using STB
in acad anyway.)
