NEW PROJECT File>Create room>Room number is three. Want it to start at 1.

We were updating the wall finish schedule in our template.  Now using the template, if we create a new room, it's number is 3.  Where is the setting that controls what the next available room number is?

TIA!

Open the template, create a new room, renumber it as 0, save and exit the template.  In new projects, when you create the first room, it will be 1 by default.  Revit remembers what the last room number created was, and will number subsequent rooms sequentially.  To reset the numbering, you have to create a room 0 as noted above.

Thanks.  I guess we were making it too complicated.  We were looking for a setting "Next Room Number" or something like that.  But your suggestion makes perfect sense.

It'll be addressed on Monday.
