New parameters in Wall Family

hello
i would like to put cost parameters into a wall family. i'm allmost sure that its not posibble.
i could make it thru schedules but there are few problems.

maybe someone knows if it will be possible in next Revit release? i know one thing, it really should

US Cost has developed a third party application that integrates into Revit
to do cost estimates. I saw a demonstration a couple of weeks ago. Looks
pretty good but $$$. It utilizes RS Means cost data or data that you
develop. http://www.uscost.com/designexchange.asp

I agree with you, Revit should be able to handle that right OOTB.

You can ad whatever parameteres you like to walls. Just go to
Settings->Project Parameters.
Note that all families have a "Cost" parameter built-in. So there is already
a parameter set up.

yes i can put parameters to walls. but they don't keep the values. and this is the problem. i make a wall, put a cost parameter and type 10$, when i make a wall of the same type i won't have that value. Other problem is when i change the wall type i will still have the same 10$ as cost.

You are making an instance parameter. Make a type parmeter. Every wall of
that type will have the same value.
