New CAD user needs some guidance

I have been in the Construction Industry for 10 years. I always wanted to design since I went to school for Architecture.

I decided it was time to learn AutoCAD. I have contacted a top Autodesk training and reseller and have purchased AutoCAD Revit
Architecture Suite 2010.

OK, now here is where I need help. My computer was 8 years old. So I just purchased a Dell XPS 16 lap top with 8 gig RAM, 2.93 intel core 2 duo processor, 1 gig ATI video RAM. etc. Vista 64 bit system

I went crazy so I hope this meets the new CAD requirements. Please feel free to comment. I can still change my order.

Now I need a mouse. Or 2? I have been reading that most people use a mouse on one side and a 3D mouse on the left side. I was looking into 3DConnexion for a 3D mouse and logitech for a right side mouse. I do not mind spending money but I want the best possible setup. Does anyone have a recommendation for mice and or set up? I am a rightey. Keeping in mind I will be travelling often.

Can someone please lend a hand.

Thanks!

Dell has launched Quad core processor is it's laptops with Ram expandable upto 16 gig. I personally recommend that with an 3d optical mouse.

Revit does not support the 3d mouse.

Revit doesn't support the 3d mouse? And here I'd assumed it was the 3d
mouse that didn't support Revit.

In that case, I'd like to file a complaint. 😜

I love the http://www.3dconnexion.com/spp/index.php in ACA, but, I'm sad
that I can't use it in RMEP.

I don't know about 3D mice, but for a "standard" mouse, I always
recommend Logitech MX Revolution. Hands down (no pun intended) the BEST
mouse I've ever used.
