I am having trouble figureing out how to make a rotateable mechanical equipment family for a horizontal or vertical furnace. The MFG dosen't have one made for this is as it is a "residential" product. They do have one for there fan coil, that I can choose if its horizontal or vertical, but I can't for the life of me figure out how they did this. I am using 2014 Revit. Thanks in advanced.

To make something rotate in Revit the standard procedure is as follows.
-Open a family template and model your component
-Make sure that the family has Work Plane-Based activated and Always vertical deactivated.
-Start a new family.
-Make sure that the family has Work Plane-Based activated and Always vertical deactivated.
-Add a reference line and constrain it. Add an angle parameter.
-Load the other family you created in step one in this host.
-Attach the family to the reference plane
Now you can rotatt your component. You can further constrain it with formulas to limit it to two positions if needed.

Please mention Revit version, especially when uploading Revit files.
