multi-line text in dimension text field?

can it be done?

sometimes I like to add long-ish notes to append my dims,
and I'd like that text to not extend beyond the dim tick marks/witness
lines,
if possible.

Revit 2009??? If so, just double click the dimensio text. In the dialog box there are options to enter text to the sides or bottom of the default dim.

Yes, I see that.
But I'm asking to get the text to wrap,
if it exceeds the extents of the dimension itself...

There is no way to "set" this to wrap automatically, the best you can try is enter some text, then Cntrl-Enter, and some more test to see id that will place a hard carriage return in the text.

Ctrl Enter does not work. There is no way within the dimensions to get tect to wrap. Only work around is palce text there.

Old thread, but I ran into this today and the feature still seems to be missing.
Only workaround I found is double clicking the dimension, and using the "Replace With Text" as my first line of supplemental text, using the "Above:" field as the dimension itself and using the "Below:" field as my second line of supplemental text. This gives 3 total lines of text / dimension, but removes the actual computed dimension, so any changes to the origin points will not be taken into account.

any way to get the text to justify to the left of right instead of always centered?
