Multi-file Batch Plotting?

I'm very surprised that there is no built-in batch plotting function in Revit that will batch plot across multiple files, like the "publish" command in ACAD. Being used to that command, I'm finding plotting using Revit to be painfully slow.

Is there a way to batch plot across multiple files using Revit?

Thanks for any help offered.

Well, with AutoCAD we typically publish files for the same project- which are housed in a common project folder. With Revit, all the sheets are housed in the same Revit file and, within a project it's really identical (only better in some ways) to the publish command. I guess we haven't had the need to publish sheets from different projects in the same publish operation.

Many of the projects I work on involve multiple buildings, which means I have a file/model for each building.
