Modeling slightly complex family shapes

Typically a door hadle lever comprising initially circular geometry at the rose (fixing point) with round bar (x place)geometry up to and around the initial lever bend. Then the lever elongates in section and curves along a y plane and possible twists along its sweep path. Any ideas for a simple way way of acheiving this? Ive tried mass and create solid using a path with worlplane aligned geometry with fail every time, Also tried in face based generic. The problem is a bit abstract in that only trying to take an image in a manufacturers catalog of a manufactured component and recreate the design phase.

Can this be done (sucessfully) simply. If only there were a way to do a swept bleand withj sveral profiles on the path. Hosting circles and then curved profiles is not working for me - cant get uniformity in the way the circles sweep into the curved parts

Perhaps you should post an image. Revit can do complex forms, and sweeps with multiple profiles, but the tools to make those forms are not available in the generic model templates, and a door handle must be made with one of those templates because it needs to be loaded into a door family. Therefore, the form of the door handle needs to be simplified; it's limited to what we can do with the five basic methods of creating solids that we have in the generic template.

jpg "Lever" is a bit complex with a) twisting along the lever axis and b) a convex form on one edge blending into the twisting wing form. So thats possibly the testing near impossible solid. Lever 2 is a bit more straightforward as part is a simple revolve on face based template. I can do that bit. The lever part I presume will nest in as a solid along a path but not sure how to blend the two forms together.

Lever 3 is this a sweep connected to a revolve and then a swept blend with revolve at the end. Reasonably easy and have managed  this   -attached rfa on next post. A bit crude at this stage. I may be some way to answering my own question now but would be grateful for your ideas on how to develop this someway  towards the comlexity of lever 1

A simplified approximation. Is it worthy to model this?  🙂

Not in terms of generating construction information and earning fees! Its a light diversion from day to day work  How would you apply some rounding to the edges? A void?

Not necessarily. Probably adding some fillet corners to the profiles. However, at some point, one has to stop at some level of detail that works, because if one goes beyond, Revit starts complaining about not being able to maintain all the pieces joined...
