Material Takeoff Question Again..Please HELP!

Well, I am still stumped. I have a material takeoff set up for all of my wall materials. I want to set it up so that it gives me the total sq. ftg of each type of wall materials used. The problem is this: If I have more than one wall with the same material types, the material in the list then does not show the total sq. ftg. of that material. If I just draw one wall, then it will report the total of each material. In the end, I just want a list of all the materials and the total sq. ftg of each. I do not want an itemized list because it becomes too long. Any ideas?

Have you tried to uncheck the "itemize every instance" checkbox in the
properties of the take-off schedule?

Yes. I have tried all sorts of things. I cannot get this to add up the total of each type of material. As soon as I have another wall with the same material, then the area for that material disappears. It I check "Itemize every instance" then I see all of the areas for the materials, but I don't want 100 GWB. I just want one total GWB (all 100 of them added up)
Any ideas?

Under the 'Formatting' tab in the Schedule Properties do you have the "calculate totals" button checked for the appropriate field?
This seems to work for me.
