Material Tags and Leaders

What defines the leader in a material tag, and can it be changed to be consistant with other notes? Such as:

  • Making it curved... or
  • Starting from the end (bottom right) of the note when point right, and from the beginning (top left) when pointing left.

Solutions only please.

SOLUTION:

( From RFO thread:)

The leader will always go to what Revit perceives as the center of the vertical height, of the Tag. The tag encompasses the label, so when it wraps to two lines, the leader goes to the middle. HOWEVER, if you place some invisible lines in the tag that reach the furthest possible extents of the label, the leader will defer to the center of the invisible lines. So with two small invisible lines, you can make the leader go anywhere you want.

Care to elaborate?

I tried some lines in the family but they just go to the center when the text wraps. Even tried several lines, same thing. Tried some lines in the model too.

Add a detail line in the tag, that is of the type <invisible lines> and make it go up, and down, farther than your Label. Then move the midpoint of the line to where you want the leader. That is now the *center* of the tag. Hence the leader is there.
