I hope I am just missing something simple, but can’t seem to get this to work. I would like to move the top edge of the Wall Face 1 out, and have Face 2 move with the new slanting face of of the wall. When I do it, the Soffit stays in place.

After moving the edge of the taller piece outwards to create the inclined surface, use the Align tool, to align face 2 to face 1, as shown:
