Manufacturer’s Toilet Partitions

I’ve downloaded a manufacturer’s Toilet Partition family and loaded it into my project. I can get it to appear in the top of the Properties window list, but can’t get it to do anything in the drawing area. I know I’m doing something right, but not sure what that something should be. Is there a procedure to follow when loading 3rd party families?

Thanks,

Phil

Thank you for posting.

I am not sure if I understand what you mean by "I can't get it to do anything in the drawing area".

If you can see it available in the Properties, than you should be able to drag and drop it to the drawing area by selecting a type. You can also try to go to the Project Browser and under Families, find the category of the family and drap and drop a type from there.

Please check if the family has a host, if so you will need to have the host placed in the drawing area. For example, if the family is a ceiling hosted fa,ily you will need to have a ceiling to be able to place it.

Hope that helps.
