Locking parameters 2012

Have been exploring behavior of locking params to reference objects and it seems

  1. Sketching geometry as simple rectangle snapping to ref line nodes locks are displayed and selectable
  2. Same for pick line. If say picking ref planes and ref lines with pick line and then cleaning up with fillet/trim etc works ok and locks are selectable.
  3. But sketching using line/chain snapping to intersetions / endpoints etc the lock on each segment is initially displayed but disapears as soon as the cursor moves away from the snap point. The resultant sketch polygon does not seem to locks displayable even by select>modify. The only way I can get round this is by edit the sketch, stretch each segment which displays the lock selectably.

There must be a simple step! Sketching with chain lines is often the most logical way of aligning a polygon to a series of ref objects (ie quick).
