LOADING DETAIL COMPONENTS

i TRIED TO LOAD IN A DETAIL COMPONENT OF A cmu SECTION BUT IT WONT OPEN. IS THERE A CERTAIN PLACE THAT IT LOADS TO THAT I AM NOT AWARE OF? HOW DO I GET THESE DETAIL COMPONENTS INTO MY PROJECT?

Make sure that you are loading it as an annotation (from the annotate tab), and then select detail component.

 

Then make sure that the cmu thing that are trying to load as a detail component is, in fact, a detail componenet and not some other category of object. 

 

And you can't add them to a drawing sheet, they need to be placed into a view.
