Linked files not cuting in section?

We have a 3D AutoCAD DWG that has been linked into our Revit model and set to elevation.

Presume the 3D CAD is a pipe model and we would like to add openings in the Revit model at wall penetrations. An elevation tag is place and the view depth is adjusted to wrap the wall only plus an inch or so. When the section is viewed we are seeing all the piping full depth each side of the wall elevation. Thus making it challenging to identify where the penetration occurs.

Any Suggestions?

Thanks,

Tom

You would have to be in a 3D view, when the 3D Autocad file is linked in. The Autocad handles views vastly differently than Revit, so a Section Mark may not show the AutoCAD entities in Section.
