Linked AutoCAD file

I have several wall sections and details that I have linked, not imported in from AutoCAD and I was under the impression that when they are linked and then saved that they will update within my Revit project, but the only way that I can get that to happen is by going to the "manage links" area and selecting it and telling it to reload, which wouldnt be so bad except that when I link it I bring it in in B&W but after a reload it goes to color. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Like in Autocad, x-ref gets updated only when you start the session or when
you "reload".

The color issue will hopefully soon be corrected - (maybe Aug 12).
