link Revit model to 3D Max

Good day!
I use Revit Architecture 2009.
Give a good advice!
When I need link Revit model to 3D Max I should use dwg format.
When I need import Revit Model to 3D Max I should use FBX format?
May be there are best way?

The FBX file format will carry far more material & lighting information with
it into 3DS Max. However you can't link an FBX file in Max. If linking is
required you have to use DWG but will need to recreate Materials and
lighting setups.

although you can import an FBX into one Max project, and then LINK that
project into another Max project. Then updates to the imported FBX will
"refresh" when the linked Max file is updated.

In essense, you can link an FBX.

Nice trick! I don't use Max enough to know that one.
