Labeling windows

Hi, I'm sure this is simple, but I've been struggling with this one for ages. How do label my windows in a floor plan so that the window specification (e.g. 1809DH) automatically appears near the face of the window? The example top row were typed in manually. I'd rather not tag (bottom row) the windows and use a schedule in this case.

Thanks

- Mick

Simplest method:

Change your window "Type Mark" to display your window spec.

Next simplest method:

Edit your window tag family. Delete hexagon linework. Change the Label to "Type Name" or "Model"

In your window families, fill your window spec info in "Type Name" or "Model"

or

In the project, fill your window spec info in "Type Name" or "Model" types.

More complicated:

Create a "Window Specification" shared parameter. Load into Window Tag and Window families as above.

thanks for listing out all those options - I was able to try out all 3. I think the shared parameter will probably be the one I'll implement.
