Keynotes

Hello All. I am currently creating my own keynote file because the one that Revit comes with is too big for our use. Also, we like to keep the notes as basic as possible. Since we use Speclink in our office, I decided to use their division numbering system because it differs slightly from the one that Revit came with.

So here is my issue: In the TXT file, you define these headings, sub headings, etc. When you actually get down to the element that you want to pick, you end up with a number like 06100.A1, 06100.A2, etc. Is there anyway to not have the A1, A2, etc? This does not correspond to Speclink in anyway. Thanks

just number them anything you want. It could be 06101, 06102, etc if you'd
like. Its just how you want them organized.

Scott, Im a little confused. If I number them the same, I ket a keynote file error that says Duplicate key value. This is why you have to add another character to the end of the division number so that you do not get this error message. But like I said before, these numbers then do not reflect any sort of spec section.

Do you know of a way around this?

they must be unique...you can't have two 01600's, but you can have 01601 and
01602

or they could be 1, 2, 3.....or 0160A, 0160B, etc.

If its a spec section, then usually the extra B1, B2, etc corresponds to the
paragraph numbering in the spec.

01600
A.
1.
2.
B.
1.
2.

That makes sense with the separate paragraphs. Of course, I think it may be a little concern sice Speclink does not have the A, B, C's, but if they are only paragraphs, it may be ok.

Thanks for your insight.
