Join Geometry and Materials Takeoff

Hi,

I recently noticed that material takeoff will not change once I'm joining geometry.

Attached two file  before and after join geometry.

As you can see the geometry it self is perfect but unfortunately there is no change in the material takeoff: the area of the concrete blocks should have increased while the area of the tiles should have been lowered.

I wonder if this is how it should work or there is a solution for that.

BTW, the behavior when preforming Attach is the same and applying base offset will not change the results.

Another thing that I've noticed in this example is the wall sweeps will not include in the material takeoff

Advise will be much appreciated

Ronen
