I'm trying to install the italian language pack for revit 2013 but I'm experincing the following issue: once I click over the EXE file (Autodesk_Revit_2013_Italian_LP_Win_32-64bit.exe) the unpack application shows me only "extract" (not "install"). After having uncompressed all the stuff, if I go into the unpacked dir I don't find any way to install the italian language pack (there is only setup.ini and not setup.exe).
As to other language packs I don't have the same issue (the EXE file shows me the "INSTALL" button).
How should I fix it?
I have the same problem Paolo.
What should I do to the language pack ita Revit 2013 included in Buiklding Design Suite?
Tanks Andrea
Hi I have the same problem, I don,t know how to install the language pack,
Hi, have you fixed the language pack problem? cause i have the same problem.....
I did the following:
-I installed the suite without Revit 2013;
-I downloaded from the site Autodesk Revit-ita;
-I installed Revit 2013 with serial suite.
Revit handles language packs differently than AutoCAD and they must be included as part of the initial installation. Here are the steps to include a language pack in a Revit installation.
1. Download and extract the contents of the desired language pack.
2. Launch the Revit installer and accept the end user license agreement, which will bring you to the Product Information page.
3. Expand the Product Language drop-down list and select Add Language Pack.
4. In the resulting dialog, click the Browse button associated with the Revit product being installed.
5. Navigate to and select the appropriate MSI file from the extracted language pack content, then click Open. As an example, here is the path to the MSI file for the French language pack for Revit Architecture on a 64-bit system: C:\Autodesk\Autodesk_Revit_Architecture_2013_French_LP_Win_32-64bit\x64\fr-FR\RAC2013\RAC2013LP.msi.
6. Click OK to dismiss this dialog.
7. Complete the remainder of the Revit installation.
Once the installation is complete, Revit will be configured using the selected language pack.

Hi, thanks for the reply, but it doesn't work. here pic. I downloaded the language pack Autodesk.
In this case the install failure is because a Revit Architecture language pack is trying to be install with a Revit installation. The following is a link to the language packs that are designed for Revit (no industry designation):
http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/item?siteID=123112&id=19432122&linkID=16831210
Once you download and extract the contents of appropriate language pack, the installation should proceeds without error.

Hello Tomy,
After installation of the language pack, will Revit be available in both languages or only in the LP language?
Thanks,
Eric
Any language pack canot be installed, by anyway was explained in this forum
Based upon the screen captures you provided, I believe the problem is that you are trying to install a Revit Architecture langugage pack on a Revit (no industry designation) installation. There are unique language pack installers for each version of Revit and they need to match the version of Revit that you have installed. Here is a link to the page from which you can download language packs for Revit:

I apologize if my last response caused any confusion. I saw the screen captures at the end of the first page and my response was based on what I saw there. If I understand your scenario correctly, you originally had an English install of Autodesk Revit, which was part of the Autodesk Building Design Suite installation. You then uninstalled this version of Revit and installed Revit again using the Spanish language pack. In theory, this should work but obviously it isn't working in your scenario.
I recommend checking the content of the revit.ini file that resides in the following locations:
C:\Users\All Users\Autodesk\RVT 2013\UserDataCache
Specifically, you should look for the [UserInterface] heading, which is followed by a [Language] heading. After that, there should be a Select setting that should read Select=ESP if the Spanish language pack installed correctly. If it reads Select=ENU, then the Spanish language pack was not installed correctly and the solution will be to uninstall and reinstall Revit. If that appears to be the case, please let me know and I can provide full instructions on how to proceed.

Hello I have the same problem. Only with the Russian language pack. This file is set to English, Russian is not installed. Help solve the problem. It is very difficult to work (
There appears to be numerous individuals running into problems with the installation of language packs with Revit 2013 so I'll try to address some common issues in this post.
To start, the installation of language packs with Revit 2013 MUST occur during the initial installation of Revit. If you have already installed Revit and want to install a language pack, you'll need to uninstall and reinstall Revit to do so. If you end up uninstalling Revit 2013, I also recommend deleting the following folders and underlying files if they are not automatically removed by the uninstall:
Revit install folder (The default location for this folder is C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Revit 2013.)
C:\Users\All Users\Autodesk\RVT 2013\
C:\Users\<USER_NAME>\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\Revit\Autodesk Revit 2013
Next, you need to download the appropriate language pack. Please note that there are four "flavors"of Revit and there are unique language packs for each "flavor". The following are links to pages from which you can download language packs for each Revit "flavor":
Autodesk Revit Architecture
Please note that if you are using the student version of Revit 2013 or the version that is included in the Building Design Suite, then you have Autodesk Revit (no industry designation) and will need the language packs specific to this flavor.
Once you've downloaded the language pack executable, you need to run it and extract the files to your local hard drive. At this point, you are ready to launch the Revit 2013 installation process. Navigate through the install as usual until you get to the Product Information page.
Click the Product Language drop-down list and select the Add Language Pack option.
A language pack selection dialog is displayed in which you can browse to and select the appropriate language pack MSI file.
When browsing for the MSI fie, you must choose between the 32-bit and 64-bit version of the MSI file. Which version you need to select is driven by whether you are installing the 32 or 64-bit version of Revit. Here are examples of the path and file names for the 32-bit and 64-bit MSI files for the Revit 2013 Spanish language pack when extracted to the default location, C:\Autodesk:
64-bit - C:\Autodesk\Autodesk_Revit_2013_Spanish_LP_Win_32-64bit\x64\es-ES\RVT2013\RVT2013LP.msi
32-bit - C:\Autodesk\Autodesk_Revit_2013_Spanish_LP_Win_32-64bit\x86\es-ES\RVT2013\RVT2013LP.msi
Once you have selected the appropriate MSI file, the language pack selection dialog should display the paths to the selected MSI file.
After clicking OK to dismiss the language pack selection dialog, the current selection in the Product Lanague drop-down list should correspond with the selected language pack. If not, click this drop-down list again and select the appropriate language. Once you have the appropriate language selected in the Product Language drop-down list, you can continue your installation of Revit.
I beleive that should cover the basic process as well as some common questions related to this process but if there is anyone experiencing problems with this configuration, let me know and I can try to provide further assistance.
