Is there a way to fade linked CAD?

Is there a way besides recoloring all the layers in the linked CAD file for tracing?  Otherwise the CAD lines and the project lines have the same weight on the screen.

Select the Link in the View, right-click, and go to "Override Graphics in View" » "By Element...". In the following dialog under Projection Lines, you can force the lineweight to a specific value.

Thanks.  Changing surface transparency to 50% did the job.
