Is it possible to save rvt files to a lower version?

What if when an architectural firm, structural firm & a MEP firm uses different versions of revit. as far as i know we don't have any options to save the rvt file to a lower version. In auto cad we can save the file to a lower version and work. If its not possible in revit it will create lot of practical problems when we are involved with many consultant using different versions of revit in different projects.

It is not possible to save in a lower version ...as in AutoCAD.

AutoCAD is a drafting program.. Anyway , even AutoCAD says when you save in a lower version that you will loose information...Revit, being a more sofisticated software can not allow loosing information..
