Is it possible to concatenate 2 parameters into one in Revit

Is it possible to concatenate 2 parameters into one in Revit.  So I want the door parameters (i.e. Width, height)  to be automatically generated by the family.  I want those two parameters to be joined in one field width x height.  This is what the department wants.  If I can't then I can't.  I know earlier versions of Revit could not concatenate.  This is one example but there re several instances where I want (2) separate fields/ parameters to report into one field that can then be used fro a schedule.  Thanks.

Hi. Just edit your door tag family, save as under a new name, choose edit label, replace existing parameter with width, add a suffix as needed, add another parameter called height, load new tag into project and use.

I have a similar problem.

Concatenating the fields within a Tag does not solve the issue becasue we want the concatenated field to be attached to the element itself. This will make it transferrable via IFC for use in FM software.

Any other advice?

Thanks.

I so pose parameters can be converted to string with the use of Dynamo.

Yes ! It is ! Thank you

I finnally found the answer !

It is possible, and among many possibilities I prefer this one : using the STRING TO LIST tool from : http://archi-lab.net/downloads/dynamo-0-8-x/

Bye !

What do you need this for? If it's for Schedules, then you can combine parameters in the Door Schedule.
